New Fish Youth Group invites you to participate in the 2023 Trunk or Treat! On Sunday, October 29th from 2:00-3:30 p.m. at 3875 Main Street, Perry, Ohio (Perry United Methodist Church Parking Lot) gather with a "trunk full" of candy for the community children.
Bring your festive spirit and join in the fun! This is a safe alternative to Trick or Treating for the community. You can help by purchasing and distributing Halloween treats to the children safely from the trunk of your car! (All treats should be individually wrapped and store bought.) Children are encouraged to dress in their Halloween costumes as they wander the parking lot to gather their treats (so hopefully there will be no tricks). Why not decorate the trunk of your car to add to the excitement of the day? All are welcomed to come have fun!
A sign up sheet is on the church bulletin board for “treat” participants. Questions can be directed to Tim or Taunya Johnson.
CWM is sponsoring Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child. We have some plastic shoeboxes that are now located on top of the baptistry. The pamphlets in the boxes give examples of great gift ideas as well as things not to include. After those are gone you may use any standard wrapped shoebox. As you prayerfully prepare your shoebox gift, remember it will be an expression of God’s love to a child. Please return your boxes to the teen room by Sunday, November 5th. We will bless the boxes on Sunday, November 12th during the worship service.
CWM has offered to cover the $10 shipping fee but if you choose to pay shipping for your box, please make the check payable to Perry Christian Church. We will send one check with all the boxes. There is also an option to pay shipping on-line which allows you to track where your box goes. If you are unable to fill a shoebox but wish to participate, you may donate to help defray the costs for the shipping. Thanks in advance for your continued support of this mission project which helps to spread God’s love worldwide.
