Recently many of my friends have been diagnosed with cancer. No two diagnoses are the same – but they all bring one major emotion to the fore front – Fear. Although I speak not from first-hand experience with the disease, but as a friend I feel fear too; fear for my friends and their families, fear of their pain, fear of loss, fear for their treatment, and most of all fear for the future.
Fear can be a debilitating emotion or it can be a stepping stone to a closer relationship with our Heavenly Father. It helps me to remember that there are some things that Cancer it CANNOT do:
CANCER cannot cripple love,
CANCER cannot shatter hope,
CANCER cannot corrode faith,
CANCER cannot destroy peace,
CANCER cannot kill friendship,
CANCER cannot suppress memories,
CANCER cannot silence courage,
CANCER cannot invade the soul,
CANCER cannot steal eternal life,
CANCER cannot conquer the spirit.
